② Research and Innovation

1) Joint UK–China Laboratories and Research Centres

Establishment of interdisciplinary research platforms focusing on major clinical needs, accelerating the translation of original research from basic science to clinical application.

2) Introduction of Late-stage UK Research Projects-

By introducing UK research projects that have entered advanced experimental stages, GDK supports Chinese partner hospitals in rapidly enhancing research output and translational efficiency, leveraging China’s strong clinical infrastructure.

③ Healthcare Management and Service Model Enhancement

1) Integration of NHS Best Practices

Systematic introduction of mature NHS experience in areas such as clinical quality management, tiered healthcare delivery, and patient safety systems.

2) Specialised Collaboration Areas

Including specialist nursing, long-term care, palliative care, smart hospital development, telemedicine, and AI-based clinical decision support systems.

④ UK–China Strategic Cooperation and Exchange

1) Academic Forums and Alliances

Support for high-level UK–China academic summits and the establishment of bilateral specialty alliances or academic associations.

2) Policy and Strategic Advisory Support

Provision of think-tank support and strategic dialogue platforms for governmental bodies and relevant institutions in both countries in the fields of healthcare reform and health policy.
